Erdogan and Berdimukhamedov discussed cooperation in energy and culture

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a meeting at the residence of Erdogan in Istanbul, during which questions of bilateral economic cooperation were raised, including questions in the energy sector.

During a working dinner the heads of state stressed the importance of cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector. Erdogan expressed gratitude to Berdymukhamedov for the comfortable and safe working conditions which have been created for Turkish companies in Turkmenistan. Berdimuhamedov, in turn, confirmed that Turkmenistan intends to continue to take part in the 84th Izmir International Fair as a partner.

Questions of culture were also raised. The presidents gave a positive evaluation of the restoration works, which are being carried out by Turkish specialists at the tomb of the last ruler of the Seljuk state, Sultan Sendzhera in the town of Mara, RIA Novosti reported.
