Before the end of the year Iran will begin oil production at the Azer field

Oil production at the Azer field will start before the end of this year. This was reported by a senior official of the Iranian National Oil Company, Keyvan Yarahmadi, who is responsible for implementation of project on the development of this field.

According to him, currently at the Azeri field, which is considered to be one of the largest fields, in a joint ownership with Iraq, drilling of four boreholes is already completed. Starting from 2016 up to 30 thousand barrels of oil per day will be produced in this field. At present, the construction of a pipeline for transportation of crude oil, above-borehole facilities and central facilities for the primary processing of oil produced at the Azer field is under way, Iran.ru reports.
