New structure ensures security of Persian Gulf countries

The member countries of the Cooperation Council of Arab States of the Persian Gulf (GCC) have established a single structure in order to ensure security, the General Secretary of this regional organization Abdellatif al-Zayani said today in Riyadh.

"The new structure will carry out its tasks in cooperation with the authorities and security forces in each of the GCC countries, as well as in coordination with similar structures all over the world in order to prevent crimes," the secretary general noted, Tass reports.
