Smugglers try to cross Kazakh-Uzbek border with five sacks of turtles

Kazakh border guards have stopped the smuggling of 989 live turtles discovered in five sacks in a truck on the border between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in the South Kazakhstan region, the Border Service of the National Security Committee of Kazakhstan said.

Kazakh border guards also confiscated about 130 kg of copper, Interfax reports.
