State Duma deсides to relocate gambling zone from Rostov region to Krasnodar Territory
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe State Duma has adopted amendments to the bill "On state regulation of organization and holding of gambling games", presupposing the Rostov region being excluded from the list of gambling zone regions. The exclusion was the idea of the Krasnodar Territory representatives, who consider that relocation of the gambling zone from the Rostov region makes it more profitable.
The Rostov region is indignant with the Krasnodar administration, which hasn't accommodated their interests. Moreover, the amendments puzzled businessmen who had invested money into the Rostov part of "Azov City".
It was initially suggested that gambling reservations be built far from residential areas. However, the new proposed zone is situated near to the "Anapa" children's health resort. The authors of the bill consider the new project to be more profitable than "Azov City".
Today, "Azov City", along with other gambling zones in Russia, doesn't work to its capacity. Only 2 casinos are operating in the Krasnodar part of "Azov City".
Rostov experts expect the governor of the Rostov region to talk to Russian President Dmitry Medvedev, because only he can save "Azov City" at the moment.
