Direct flights resume between Tbilisi and Tehran

10-year hiatus. Flights will be operated by the "Airzena" airline,
Business Georgia reports.
Flights will be operated twice weekly, on Tuesdays and Saturdays. The
ticket will cost 160 euros. Seven passengers will fly today from
Tbilisi to Tehran.
The head of a travel agency, Sidamonidze Maya, said that the
resumption of direct flights contributes to the development of
tourism.
The Iranian ambassador noted at the launching of the inaugural flight
that direct flights contribute to the development of tourism and trade
and facilitate networking between business partners. According to him,
the agreement on visa-free travel between Georgia and Iran will be
signed tomorrow.
