Rosrybolovstvo predicts decline in the growth of consumption of fish in Russia. According to the head of the Federal Agency for Fishery Ilya Shestakov, such a situation may arise due to rise in prices, which is happening against the background of the product embargo and exchange rate fluctuations.

He told that the agency predicts a decrease by 11% in 2015: about 20-20,5 kg of fish per person per year, compared with 22.4 kg in 2014.

Ilya Shestakov said that the level of fish consumption per person will depend primarily on the economic situation. He stressed that there are enough fishery resources in Russia, TASS reports.
