PKK attacks police and gendarmerie in Turkey

Militants of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) have attacked gendarmes and police officers in the southeastern province of Hakkari, Hurriet daily reports.

No injuries are reported.

In addition, according to Anatolia news agency, during the night a Syrian died trying to illegally cross the border into Turkey when an unknown device exploded, TASS reports.
