Wild boar to be quarantined in Kabardino-Balkaria because of virus
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaA quarantine regime has been introduced on the territory of the Eki-Ara tract in the Elbrus district of Kabardino-Balkaria. A corresponding decree was signed by the head of the republic, Yuri Kokov, in connection with the identification of a wild boar infected with the African swine fever virus (ASF).
This is the second case of quarantine on the territory of Kabardino-Balkaria due to ASF. On August 10 a quarantine was introduced on the territory of the Volno-Aulsky hunting area of the Nalchik state hunting husbandry, where a wild boar infected with a genome of the African swine fever virus was detected and shot by hunters.
