The Azerbaijani electoral monitoring coalition 'Parliament 2010' has
carried out the last training for observers of the coming election in
Azerbaijan. The training was organized in the Nizamin region of Baku.

Observers were given information about the mechanisms and the methods
of organizing the monitoring.

The head of the project, Aydyn Kerimov, said that participation of
civilians in the monitoring is an important condition for clear
elections.

'Parliament 2010' monitoring coalition unites several non-governmental
organizations. It will monitor 80 electoral districts. 3,400 observers
will be involved in the monitoring."

Kerimov said that the observers do not belong to any political party.
Their goal is to provide objective information about the process. They
represent the interests of the Azerbaijani people, Kerimov noted.

The election will improve the international image of Azerbaijan and
its positions in international relations. 'Parliament 2010' will
provide for the independent and impartial work of the monitoring
mission, Kerimov added.

Azerbaijan will hold parliamentary elections on November 7. The
elections are held using majority system with 125 electoral districts.
Previous parliamentary elections were held in November 2005.
