Sochi to test Olympic facilities in 2011

Sochi will start testing Olympic skiing and snowboarding routes in
Krasnaya Polyana according to schedule for the Winter Olympic Games in
2014, RIA Novosti reports, citing Leonid Melnikov, Coach of the
National Skiing Team, and head of the Federation of Skiing and
Snowboarding of Russia.

The authorities of the federation visited the construction sites of
Olympic facilities on Tuesday. Melnikov said that they were informed
about the completion of 80% of skiing and snowboarding routes.

Melnikov added that the federation is carrying out regular check-ups
of the facilities. He said that the rate and quality of work
demonstrates readiness of the facilities.
