Suppliers of sanctioned cheese detained near Moscow

In the Moscow Region enforcement officers suspended the activity of a criminal group whose members supplied sanctioned products in the region of the capital for a long time, the official representative of the Ministry of Interior of Russia Elena Alekseeva reported.

"Employees of the State Ministry of the Interior of Russia for the Moscow region, together with the UFSB, Rosselkhoznadzor and Rospotrebnadzor suppressed the activity of international organized crime group, whose members were engaged in the delivery of sanctioned products from abroad on the territory of the Moscow region for a long time. The amount of sold products amounts to about 2 billion rubles," she noted.

The Main Investigative Department of Research Affairs of Russia in the Moscow region opened a criminal case under part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code (fraud committed by an organized group on an especially large scale).
