Azerbaijani president expressed condolences over Georgian mine disaster

Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliev expressed on Thursday his condolences to his Georgian counterpart Mikhail Saakashvili over Wednesday’s deadly explosion at a mine in Georgia’s Tkibuli, the Trend news agency said.

Four people died in the explosion. Several miners were also seriously injured. “In connection with the tragedy I offer condolences in my name and in the name of the Azerbaijani people to you, to the families and relatives of the dead, and to all Georgian people” – Aliev said in a letter.
