Russian Foreign Minister: Trips by Russian officials to Crimea are the internal affair of Russia

Trips by the Russian leadership to Crimea and Sevastopol are exclusively the internal affair of the Russian Federation. This statement was made by the Russian Foreign Ministry, commenting on a note from the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry demanding an explanation of the arrival of Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev in Crimea. 

''Today we sent a response to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, in which we reminded the Ukrainian party that the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol are regions of federal significance and they are are an integral part of the Russian Federation with its sovereignty and Russian legislation."
