Kazakhstan helps to fight fires in southern Kyrgyzstan

Helicopters from Kazakhstan will be involved in extinguishing a fire that engulfed more than 200 thousand hectares of forest in the Chychkan gorge in southern Kyrgyzstan, the Minister of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan, Kubatbek Boronov, stated.

According to him, the assistance will be provided for free, the country only has to provide fuel and oil for two Kazakhstani Mi-8 helicopters,which will participate in extinguishing the fire.

The Minister also reported that at the moment more than 800 people are involved in the fire-fighting.
