Nazarbayev advises businesses not to raise prices unreasonably

Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev promised to monitor unreasonable increase in prices for food and nutrition, and other socially important products, as well as warning business circles not to take such a step.

"We have warned all our akims (heads of regions), and all those involved in trade: no increase in prices, especially for sensitive products such as food, which is produced in Kazakhstan, which is sold here. There should be no price increases here. We will catch people who do it and severely punish them," he said at a meeting with representatives of business, Trend reports.
