The former ruling party 'United National Movement' has joined with opposition parties in the boycott of interim parliamentary elections.

According to the Executive Secretary of the UNM, Sergo Ratiani, the party will use all constitutional mechanisms for the appointment of early elections.

"The mid-term elections in the autumn of 2015 in Sagarejo and Martvili are an attempt to mislead the people and a waste of budget. The MPs will not be able change the current situation and lead the country out of crisis," Ratiani said.

"On this basis, the UNM considers taking part in these elections unjustified. We join the boycott declared by the political parties. At the same time we declare that we will use all constitutional mechanisms to ensure the appointment of early parliamentary elections, and to remove 'Georgian Dream' and Bidzina Ivanishvili from power," Georgia Online quoted Ratiani as saying.
