Alexander Ovechkin wins ‘Kharlamov Trophy’ for the seventh time

In Moscow, a solemn ceremony of awarding the winner of the annual ‘Kharlamov Trophy’ award was held. Alexander Ovechkin, the forward of ‘Washington’ and the captain of the Russian team received the award for the seventh time. The ‘Kharlamov Trophy’ is a prize awarded by the newspaper 'Soviet Sport' to the best Russian mercenary player in the National Hockey League. The winner is determined by a survey of all the Russian hockey players who are playing in the NHL.The trophy is named after the hockey player Valery Kharlamov. Also, Alexander Ovechkin, who has recently visited Baku and taken part in a friendly soccer match, shared his impressions of the trip and at the same time spoke about his attitude to the European Games.
