Georgia looks for film-challenger for ‘Oscar 2015’

The National Center of Cinematography of Georgia has announced the beginning of the selection of films that will be nominated for an Oscar in the category ‘Film in a Foreign Language.’

All the films that meet the following requirements will be considered: starting from October 1st 2014 to September 30th 2015 the film has to be continually shown in the cinema (for 7 days); the film must have an advertisement, the film must have a poster that meets the standards; the film must be in the main competition program in at least one International Film Festival.

In addition, none of the movies are to have been broadcast on television or the Internet before their premieres. The majority of the creative team of the film project must be citizens or residents of Georgia.
