Cavusoglu: we agreed on a comprehensive operation against IS with the US

Turkey and the US have agreed on infliction of strikes against militants of the terrorist group Islamic state in the north of Syria by the Air Forces. Foreign Minister of Turkey Mevlut Cavusoglu stated in an interview with Reuters.

"Yesterday we held negotiations on the technical aspects. We will soon begin a comprehensive operation against IS. It will also be joined by Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, Britain and France," he noted.

"This operation will also be a message to President Bashar Assad and will help to put pressure on his administration, so that it would sit down at the negotiating table to find a political solution to the crisis," TASS quotes Chavushoglu as saying.
