Atambayev starts his visit to China on September 1

Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev will take part in activities in Beijing, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II.

The deputy head of the presidential apparatus, Sapar Isakov, said that from September 1 to 3 a working visit of Atambayev to China will be held, during which he will participate in commemorative events dedicated to the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II in Beijing.

During his visit Atambayev will also hold talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Their agenda will involve a discussion of political, economic, social, humanitarian issues. Against the background of Bishkek's accession to the EAEU, "a great potential to invest in the economy of Kyrgyzstan from China appeared," Isakov pointed out. "We are interested in the initiative of the economic belt of the Great Silk Road to be in harmony with our membership of the EAEU," he said.
