Iran is considering buying Russian Su-30 fighter jets at the MAKS-2015, representatives of military and diplomatic circles reported.

Iran also plans to buy a Yak-130 combat training aircraft, surface ships of 'frigate' class and submarines. In future the country would like to give up on direct purchases and move to joint development and licensing production of arms in its own territory, following the example of India, where the Su-30MKI is being constructed.

Iranian experts assume that Russia might be interested in a shipyard for the construction of ships. Rosoboronexport refused to make any comments about Iran, Interfax reports.
