Security forces complete anti-terrorist operation in Leninsky district of Makhachkala

A counter-terrorist operation, which was started a week ago on August 23 after two attacks on police officers in the village of Novy Hushet, resulting in death of one policeman and two civilians, finished today in the Leninsky district of Makhachkala

The main results of the special operation were made known on Monday night, when three militants of the Makhachkala gang were eliminated during an attempt to break through. Among the eliminated militants was the leader of the gang, Abdul Kurbanov.
