The St. Petersburg tent circus ‘Imperial’  came to Yerevan today in honor of the 80th birthday of People's Artist of Armenia, Leonid Yengibarov. According to the Armenian Ministry of Culture, the touring program of the circus in the Armenian capital includes rides with tame lions, monkeys and other animals.

According to the circus deputy producer, Andrey Mitachkin, ‘Imperial’ is planning to tour across the territory of the former Soviet Union in the near future, and Armenia is the first state to be visited. "We worry how the audience will perceive the program. Unlike many tent circuses, we use live sound by the soloist of the Moscow group ‘Legion’, Alexei Bulgakov, and the Victoria Dance Group from St. Petersburg participates in the show,’’ RIA Novosti quotes him as saying.
