Georgia’s Ahmet Region to extract 20 million tons of oil daily

The Indian oil extracting company Jindal Petroleum Georgia Limited is
carrying out restoration work on Georgian oil wells in the Ahmet
Region. The company said that in March 2011 they plan to extract 20
million tons of oil from the Orvilis Hevi River, Business Georgia reports.


The company's administration says that Vedzebi-1 and Shuagora-2 oil
wells have been partly restored. 25 people are operating them, their
average wage is $352 a month. The company plans to hire 40 more
people.
