Sofia invites Baku to invest in Bulgarian nuclear power plant
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe Bulgarian government has invited Azerbaijan to participate in the construction of nuclear power plants, to invest in the construction of oil and gas storage facilities, oil refineries, as well as projects of construction of gas pipelines connecting the Bulgarian gas transportation system with similar systems of neighboring countries, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Bulgaria, Emil Karimov, said.
"Bulgaria is interested in buying Azeri gas and government plans are about a billion cubic meters per year. In the future these amounts may be increased," APA cited Karimov as saying.
He noted that, at the moment, negotiations are continuing for the supply of Azerbaijani gas through the Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria. "Bulgaria is going to build a pipeline, which will be connected with the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) to supply Azerbaijani gas to Europe. In doing so, Bulgaria will be able to receive gas from Azerbaijan," the Ambassador stressed.
