Turkish engineer Altan Gunger disappears in Russia

Turkish engineer Altan Gunger has disappeared during a trip to Russia, the attaché of the Turkish diplomatic mission, Orhan Gazigil, confirmed today.

It is reported that Gunger arrived in Moscow on August 22 and went to Orenburg. However, he did not go to any of the assigned meetings there, his business partners said. After that, the relatives of missing person asked the Turkish Foreign Ministry for help.

At the embassy in Moscow, the attaché said that the Russian law enforcement agencies are now engaged in a search for the Turkish citizen. He added that the embassy is "in close contact with his lawyer, family and law enforcement agencies." However, there is still no information about Altan Gunger, RIA Novosti reported.
