Russian side is guilty of border traffic jams, Georgian Foreign Ministry reports
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaThe new Foreign Minister of Georgia, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, has blamed the Russian side for the many-kilometer-long traffic jams at the 'Kazbegi - Verkhny Lars' checkpoint.
"At a time when our side lets one truck pass in a maximum of one and a half or two minutes, the other side does it in a much longer period ... The traffic jams are caused by this," Kvirikashvili stated.
It is reported that a special inter-departmental group has been created to organize the primary passage of cars with perishable products, and seeks cars with women and children to extricate from the traffic jams.
