Merkel: Influx of migrants provokes legal terror

The terrorist threat from German right-wing extremists is growing due to the influx of refugees into the country, German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned yesterday.

She came to such a conclusion because of the recent increase in attacks by nationalists on illegal migrants from the Middle East and North Africa countries, who are seeking shelter on German territory.

Considering the numerous attacks on refugee shelters, Merkel called for vigilance and warned about a possible new outbreak of far-right terror. "We must remain vigilant to closely monitor the current situation and act," RIA Novosti quotes the Chancellor as saying.

At the same time, the German Chancellor was skeptical about a possible ban of the radical National Democratic Party of Germany (NPD). "Right-wing extremist attitudes in society can remain even after the ban of this party," she summed up.
