Russians begin to drink almost 60% less Georgian wine
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaOver the past eight months of this year, Georgia has supplied 58% less wine to Russia than last year. In general, the volume of exports fell by 46%, the National Wine Agency of the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia reported.
The Agency pointed out that exports of Georgian wine to Russia and Ukraine, which previously ranked first, have sharply reduced, with an increase in supply to some other countries.
"The reduction of exports to these countries is caused by the prevailing political and economic circumstances in the region and had an impact on indicators of exports of wine in general," Georgia Online cites the message of National Wine Agency.
