China to build one-billion-dollar road for Georgia

The Prime Minister of Georgia, Irakli Garibashvili, who is in China for a working visit, met with the leadership of one of China's largest construction companies Zhuhai Da Heng Qin Company Limited.

The meeting was attended by the representatives of other leading companies, which will also be involved in the new highway project in Georgia, such as MCC International Incorporation Limited, China Development Bank Inner Mongolia Branch and China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation.

The Prime Minister of Georgia confirmed the interest of the country's leadership in the project, stressing that the government will fully support Chinese workers. The Chinese side expressed its readiness to take part in the construction.

The estimated cost of the route is more than one billion dollars.
