Governor takes control of south Russia mass slaying probe

The head of the Krasnodar Territory, Alexander Tkachev, has arrived in
the Kushchevskaya village to monitor the investigation into a mass
killing, Yuga reports.

On the 5th of  November, the bodies of 12 people were discovered in a
two-story private house in the village. According to preliminary
reports, the death of 10 people was caused by multiple stab wounds. A
child died from carbon monoxide poisoning, while another was
strangled.

"The criminals must be found and punished - this is a matter of honor
for the law enforcement bodies of the territory. I have talked with
the Russian president by phone, he is monitoring the progress of the
investigation,"  Tkachev said.
