Azerbaijani President meets with head of CIS Executive Committee

Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth of
Independent States (CIS), Sergei Lebedev, APA reports, citing the
presidential press service.
Sergei Lebedev noted that a mission of 352 observers from the CIS
arrived in Azerbaijan to monitor the parliamentary elections in the
country. According to him, the mission will review the preparations
for the elections and voting at more than 3000 polling stations in
different regions of Azerbaijan. According to Lebedev, the CIS
observers noted the extent to which the appearance of towns and
districts of Azerbaijan has changed recently.
The President expressed satisfaction that the members of the CIS
observation mission familiarized themselves with the preparations for
the elections and voting, and also drew attention to the development
processes in the country. The president pointed out that the country
had created all the conditions for improvement of the electoral
process, the creation of equal conditions for all candidates and
ensuring the transparency of the elections.
