Armenia and Rostov region to develop economic cooperation

The Armenian Prime Minister, Tigran Sargsyan, has received a Russian
delegation headed by the Governor of the Rostov region, Vasily
Golubev, on the 8th of November, NEWS.am reports, quoting the press
service of the Government of Armenia.

The Prime Minister stressed that the issue of deepening mutual
relations was discussed by the two sides in Yekaterinburg on the 23rd
of October at the nineteenth meeting of the Armenian-Russian
Interparliamentary Commission on Economic Cooperation.

Sargsyan presented the economic situation in Armenia after the global
financial crisis to the delegation and touched upon the main areas for
enhanced cooperation. In particular, the sides discussed prospects of
expanding cooperation in agriculture. The parties also considered a
number of promising joint projects in various sectors of industry,
science and culture.

The two sides noted the importance of the Days of Armenia Festival in
the Rostov region in the context of strengthening cultural ties and
tourism development.
