498 people want to become deputies of Milli Majlis

According to the chairman, Mazahir Panahov, speaking at a regular meeting of the Central Electoral Commission of the Republic, 498 people have been nominated as candidates for seats in the Milli Majlis in Azerbaijan. 

Thus, a quarter of the candidates will become parliamentary deputies.

254 out of the 498 candidates were nominated by different political parties of the country: 13 by the bloc of political parties Azadlig-2015. The other candidates are self-nominated.

286 candidates have already been approved and their signature sheets have already been received.

In addition, 74 observers have already been registered, 69 of whom will observe on their own initiative, and 5 of whom are going on the initiative of NGOs, APA reports.
