Curfew lifted in Turkish town of Cizre
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaA curfew has been lifted in the Turkish town of Cizre, located in the southeastern part of the country.
It was introduced there on September 4th by the head of the Interior Ministry, Selami Altynoka, who included the town in the zone of a special operation against the PKK. Due to this fact it was impossible to enter the town. The minister promised to remove these restrictions after the operation.
Such actions of the authorities have caused concern among human rights activists. They noted the risk of a humanitarian crisis there.
It is now allowed to enter the city from 7:00 am local time, but the army continues to carry out checks on the roads, Sputnik Azerbaijan reports.
