Today Jews celebrate Rosh Hashanah, symbolizing the beginning of the New Year in the Jewish calendar.

"The outgoing year 5775 was a productive one for the Jewish community in Russia.  Synagogues and community centers continue to open in many cities across the country, there is a growing number of parishioners in the synagogues and students in the Jewish schools, new schools and kindergartens are built. We are developing humanitarian projects, covering more and more people who need help, and we hope that God will provide us a fortress of strength in the coming year to continue what we have successfully started," the head of the FJC said.
