Armenia and Iran to expand energy cooperation

The Armenian Deputy Energy Minister, Ara Simonyan, together with the
General Director for International Affairs of the Iranian National
Company for the production and distribution of petroleum, Mohammad
Ahbarishadom, today visited the Isfahan petrochemical plant in Iran.

According to Iran News, Armenian officials stressed the importance of
cooperation in the energy sector, calling it a priority in relations
between the two countries. Simonyan noted the need to deepen energн
cooperation between Armenia and Iran, which, in his opinion, serves as
a basis for further expansion of joint economic activities between the
two countries.
