Israel says only force can make Iran give up nuclear program

Israeli Premier Benjamin Netanyahu proposed using the threat of
military action to force Iran to give up its nuclear program, RIA
Novosti reports.

Netanyahu was speaking at the General Assembly of the Jewish
Federations of North America.

Netanyahu also earlier proposed using the threat of force at a meeting
with US Vice-President Joe Biden. US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates
said in response to Netanyahu's comments that he hoped that the
current international sanctions would be enough to solve Iranian
nuclear issue.

Netanyahu said that Iran threatens to destroy Israel, denies the
Holocaust, sponsors terrorism, stands against America in Afghanistan
and Iraq, dominates in Lebanon and Gaza, builds bridgeheads in the
Arab Peninsula and Africa, and is expanding its influence in South
America.
