Baku opens branch of Sechenov Moscow State Medical University

The opening ceremony of the Baku branch of the Sechenov Moscow State Medical University was held in Baku.

It was attended by the first lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Mehriban Aliyeva, Russian Healthcare Minister Veronica Skvortsova, the Chancellor of the Sechenov Moscow Medical University, Pyotr Glybochko.

The first 100 students will study at the medical faculty, the head of the Department of Medical Informatics and Statistics of the University, Andrei Gerasimov, said.

Graduates will receive a diploma, which will allow them to work in Azerbaijan and Russia, Interfax-Azerbaijan reports.
