Area of fire in Kazakhstan increases

The area of fire in the foundation pit for draining oil wastes in western Kazakhstan has increased to 5 thousand square meters, the press-service of the Committee for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

"At the moment, the estimated area of combustion is 5 thousand square meters. Fire fighting is complicated by the fact that the heat source is in the middle of the foundation pit, wind also contributes to the combustion," - RIA Novosti cites the report.
