Kazakhstan is considering switching to Latin letters

Kazakhstan is planning to abandon the Cyrillic alphabet and introduce
Latin letters,  Kazakh Minister of Culture Mukhtar Kul-Muhammed said
today, RIA Novosti reports.

He said that despite the fact that this decision remains the exclusive
prerogative of the President, the question periodically rises in
society.

Kul-Mohammed emphasised that the issue has no political overtones.
