Oil terminal to be built on Turkmen-Afghan border
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaTurkmenistan is rapidly constructing an oil terminal on the border with Afghanistan in the area of the Ymamnazar PPC district on the territory (district) of Atamyrat Lebap (region) in Turkmenistan. The erected terminal is able to receive, store and release up to 540 thousand tons of oil products, the statement released by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources of Turkmenistan reads.
"The new terminal will be a considerable support for sending oil to a nearby friendly Afghanistan," the statement reads, noting that with the commissioning of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Tajikistan railway the scale of the cooperation will expand further, as the need to transport oil by trucks will be eliminated.
