Two staff-members of the Turkish consulate in Russia die in traffic accident, media report
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaAn accident in the Leningrad Region yesterday claimed the lives of two staff-members of the Turkish consulate, a source in the law enforcement structures said.
"A car with diplomatic plates, moving along the ring road in the Lomonosov district of Leningrad Region, crashed into a truck. Two people who were in a car died," RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
The press service of the Interior Ministry in St. Petersburg and the region confirmed that at 19:25 at the 40-kilometer mark of the ring road, on the outer ring, a Hyundai Sonata car crashed into a truck, resulting in the deaths of two people who were travelling in the passenger car. However, the Ministry did not specify the identities of the victims of the accident.
The Turkish Embassy in Russia also stated that they have no information about the deaths of employees of the consulate in an accident.
