Crimean mobile communications providers cannot work due to sanctions

 

Crimea cannot organize the work of local mobile communications providers, the main difficulty arises from third-party companies which are afraid of being covered by the sanctions.

It was planned that Krymtelekom, belonging to the republican government, will be operating by the beginning of the tourist season.

However, problems arose during the installation of operational and search activities (SORM), as the only certified manufacturer of the equipment necessary for the Crimean network refused to participate because of the sanctions.
