Oil storage in Kazakhstan burns down

A fire broke out in the foundation pit for draining oil waste in Zhanaozen in western Kazakhstan. The area of the fire spread to 10 thousand square meters. The fire was completely extinguished on Monday morning.


"Unfortunately, two people were injured, they were taken to the hospital," the deputy head of the Committee for Industrial Development and Industrial Safety, Nurbek Kunanbayev, said.

According to preliminary information, untrained personnel are to blame for what happened, TASS reports.
