St. Petersburg hosts Eurasian Women's Forum
Read on the website Vestnik KavkazaSt. Petersburg is hosting the Eurasian Women's Forum in the Tauride Palace. The forum will gather participants from 85 countries, including members of parliament, representatives of executive authorities, businessmen, scientists, and representatives of public associations and international women's organizations.
The main issues of the forum will be social security and sustainable development, international cooperation, and expansion of women's participation in economic, political and social life, the press service of the forum said.
The organizing committee of the event is chaired by the speaker of Russia’s Federation Council, Valentina Matviyenko, who will made speech at the opening of the plenary session titled 'Women in the modern world: new horizons for cooperation'.
The head of the Azerbaijani State Committee for Problems of Families, Women and Children, Khidzhran Huseynova, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia, Hermine Naghdalyan, State Secretary of the Ministry of the Environment of Finland, Hannele Pokka, the Assistant Secretary General of the World Health Organization, Flavia Bustreo, and the Deputy Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Supreme Assembly of Tajikistan, Khairiniso Yusufi, will be the moderators of the discussions and round tables.
