Putin to return Russia to world politics

The Wall Street Journal wrote that Russian President Vladimir Putin will return to center stage with his first appearance at the United Nations General Assembly in New York in a decade.

“Putin plans to leave New York not as a regional power, but as a big player in the world,” the newspaper cited a European official as saying.

US expert analyst Robert Legvold, however, isn’t expecting relations between Washington and Moscow to be revived, RIA Novosti reports.
