Nagorno-Karabakh: Tough battle claimed lives of five soldiers from both sides of front

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry issued an official message today about an armed clash on the contact line of troops in the zone of conflict around Nagorno-Karabakh, which took place yesterday. According to the document, the Armenian armed forces lost 4 soldiers, 16 were wounded, soldier Elshan Mammedo of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces was killed, three soldiers were wounded.

The Azerbaijani Defense Ministry described the incident as a tough and bloody battle, initiated by the Armenian side, which used heavy weapons and 82-mm mortars.
