Serzh Sargsyan: Nagorno-Karabakh belongs to Armenia

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan, proclaimed today that Nagorno-Karabakh and the seven adjacent regions of Azerbaijan occupied by Armenian military forces belongs to Armenia. By saying this, the Armenian President contradicted the standard position of the Armenian state, according to which the self-proclaimed unrecognized ‘Nagorno-Karabakh Republic’ acts on the occupied territories.

The announcement was made during the sixth meeting of the State Commission for the coordination of the events of the centennial of the Armenian genocide.
